Today, February 11, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) transferred road machinery and equipment to Kyrgyzstan, valued at 700 million yen. The handover ceremony took place in Batken, as reported in the agency's press release.

This assistance was provided under the "Project for Improving Equipment for Road Maintenance and Pavement in Batken Region."

High-ranking guests attended the handover ceremony of the grant aid, including the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Hiroshi Ryuichi, the JICA Resident Representative in the republic, Kotaro, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Beknazar Bazaraliyev, as well as the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Batken Region, Aibek Shamenov, and other officials.

The received machinery and equipment will be used for the maintenance and improvement of road surfaces in Batken Region, which, according to the organization's representatives, will be an important contribution to the development of both the region and the entire republic.
