The competition was held without external funding, bringing together both professional journalists and youth initiatives
The VIII award ceremony for the Ulanbek Egizbaev Prize for Best Investigative Journalism in 2025 took place in Bishkek, organized by the Investigative Journalism Foundation.
This year, the format of the event changed: the Foundation partnered with an active youth group that conducts public events in memory of Ulanbek Egizbaev. As noted by the Foundation's chairman Azamat Tynaev, this collaboration symbolizes the continuity of generations and the unification of the professional journalism community with the youth initiatives of the country.
