A deputy proposed to keep two holidays outside the restrictions
Dastan Jumabekov, a member of parliament, expresses the opinion that while the silence law is correct, more flexible time frames should be established for holiday days. He made this statement during the discussion of a draft law proposed by the government, which concerns amendments to a number of legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the Code of Offenses and the law "On Silence".
Within the framework of the draft law, an exception for New Year's holidays is already provided, allowing noisy events from ten in the evening on December 31 to three in the morning on January 1. Jumabekov suggested adding Independence Day to this list.
“The silence law is correct, but I insist on extending the time for celebrating August 31, which is Independence Day. This is a significant day for both the people and the country. People gather in squares and celebrate. I ask the Ministry of Internal Affairs to consider my recommendations during the re-examination,” noted the deputy.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Oktobyr Urmambetov, supported his proposal.
