According to the proposal prepared by the cabinet of ministers, a delay in the payment of pensions, scholarships, and benefits exceeding five days will require the accrual of a penalty of 0.15% of the debt amount for each day of delay.
The maximum amount of penalties should not exceed 200% of the principal debt. This limitation will only apply until a written demand for debt payment is presented. After that, the maximum amount of penalties is not limited and will be accrued until the debt is actually repaid.
As a result of the discussion, the draft law was approved by the committee members in the first reading.
