The incidence of syphilis, intestinal infections, and influenza has increased in Kyrgyzstan

In 2025, there is an increase in cases of infectious diseases in Kyrgyzstan, including syphilis, brucellosis, and influenza. This was stated in an interview on "Birinchi Radio" by Ryspek Sydygaliev, Deputy Minister of Health and Chief State Sanitary Doctor.

According to his information, the total number of registered infection cases in the country amounted to 491,516, which is 36.3% higher compared to 360,536 cases in 2024.

Among all infectious diseases, 81.9% are acute viral infections, including ARVI and influenza.

Ryspek Sydygaliev also noted that there is a decrease in morbidity for several diseases:


At the same time, according to his data, in 2025 there was an increase in morbidity from acute intestinal infections by 15.2%, brucellosis by 1.3%, and ARVI and influenza by 1.5 times.

The number of HIV-infected individuals increased by 8.2%, and cases of syphilis rose by 2.1% this year.

“Last year, six cases of anthrax, five cases of imported malaria, three cases of hepatitis E, and one case of tetanus were registered,” added Ryspek Sydygaliev.
