Issues related to blood transfusions were raised by the deputy at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh.
During emergency hospitalization, when a patient urgently requires a blood transfusion, doctors often send their relatives to the blood center to collect the necessary component themselves. This issue was brought up by Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva at the session of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Relatives also need to undergo compatibility testing at one of the private clinics.
“They are told that first they need to obtain blood from the center, then go to a private clinic for compatibility testing, and only after that bring the blood back. All this happens in emergency situations, and precious time is lost, which can lead to tragic consequences,” the deputy emphasized.
She also noted that patients' relatives are forced to wait for their turn and for the test results, which further prolongs the entire process.
In her opinion, compatibility testing should be conducted in the hospital itself, and the transportation of blood should be the responsibility of medical institution staff using official vehicles and qualified personnel.
Additionally, Sadyrbaeva proposed to make coronary angiography free in emergency situations, so as not to distract patients in search of funds.
