The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the rules for obtaining and renewing a commercial driver's license (CDL) in the United States of America.
As noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are strict requirements for issuing CDLs in the USA.
According to information from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the right to obtain or renew a CDL is generally available to the following categories of individuals:
- U.S. citizens;
- green card holders (lawful permanent residents);
- foreigners in the country on certain work visas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic strongly advises citizens to clarify the requirements in the relevant state authorities in advance, monitor the expiration dates of necessary documents, and consider possible changes in federal regulations.
