Now you can replace your passport online – a new service in 'Tunduk'

Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic now have the opportunity to submit applications for the exchange of the common civil passport of the 2020 model through the mobile application "Tunduk". This was reported by the State Institution "Kyzmat".

The information states that the process of providing the service is carried out in a standard mode, and the passport production time is 18 working days.

Applications can be submitted for several reasons:

upon expiration or at the request of the owner;due to changes in personal data;in case of document damage;in case of loss of the passport.

“When filling out the application, citizens can change the transliteration of their last name, first name, and patronymic into Latin script,” the agency added.

According to paragraph 9 of the Regulation on the common civil passport of the 2025 model, adopted by the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on August 20, 2025, No. 508, the patronymic is indicated at the request of the citizen.

“Thus, when submitting an application, the applicant can choose whether to indicate the last name with or without the patronymic. In the ID card, the patronymic must be indicated if it exists,” the official message states.

It is also worth emphasizing the modern digital capabilities of this service. When applying for the exchange of the ID card or common civil passport, the following functions are available:

the ability to upload a photo from a mobile device;
photographing directly in the application;
uploading a photo from the TSN using a unique barcode (the photo at the TSN is taken for free).

Requirements for the photo comply with international ICAO standards: the face must have a neutral expression, the gaze directed straight at the lens (a slight deviation to the right or left is allowed), eyebrows should be in a natural position. A slight smile is permitted. Shooting without headgear, except for a women's scarf that does not cover the face; the photo must be taken no later than 6 months before submission, size - 35x45 mm, color on a white background.

When photographing in glasses, the frame should not cover the eyes, and the lenses should not glare. The use of dark lenses for people with vision impairment is allowed. Clothing should be casual or business.

IMPORTANT: You must have a valid electronic cloud signature, which can be checked in the Personal Account in "Tunduk".
