“Despite the winter conditions, the destruction continues. Two years ago, they broke this wall and left, and now it’s happening all over again. I don’t know what to do. They talk about some common area, and we are back to this issue,” she shared.
The conflict with her neighbors, she says, has been ongoing for several years.
“They claim that I am interfering with their lives. But how can I interfere with them? We have separate entrances. I am at a loss. He threatened me with a weapon and even beat me in front of witnesses,” the woman recounted.
Kyyal also reported that her family is in an extremely difficult situation due to the circumstances.
“Right now, I am sitting at home, it’s raining outside, and water is dripping from the ceiling. My daughter, who is visually impaired, has fallen into depression and spent four months in a psychiatric hospital. Yesterday, she was crying. I tried to support her, saying that everything would be fine. But now I just don’t know what to do. It’s cold in the house, and it’s cold outside too. I can’t heat it; we don’t even have a heater,” the woman added.
It is worth noting that Kyyal had already contacted Kaktus.media in December 2023 when she reported the destruction of part of her house by her neighbor Alexander Darienko, who referred to a court decision.
She also mentioned that the dispute between them has been ongoing since 2015. In 2019, the Supreme Court ruled for the demolition of the extension, but Kyyal attempted to legalize her share of the plot.
The woman claimed that the neighbor demanded $20,000 from her for agreeing to process the documents and asked for help from the president.
Alexander Darienko, for his part, claimed that he was acting in accordance with the court’s decision and had the right to dismantle part of the building.
According to the police, on December 20, 2023, a complaint was received at the Internal Affairs Directorate of the First May District from Kyyal stating that her neighbor had demolished part of the wall of her house using a perforator. This incident was registered, a preliminary investigation was initiated, and requests for copies of court decisions were sent out.
There is currently no information on the current results of the proceedings and the response of law enforcement to Kyyal's new appeal.
