Payouts were made under the state insurance program
In Bishkek, families who lost their homes received a payout of 1 million soms in insurance. This information was announced by representatives of the State Insurance Organization.
The payouts were made under contracts signed by citizens of the capital with this insurance company.
“As of today, 25 percent of real estate in Bishkek is covered by state insurance. This percentage needs to be increased, as disaster can strike unexpectedly. We strongly recommend insuring both movable and immovable property, as this is the only way to compensate for losses in case of an accident,” emphasized the State Insurance Organization.
