According to the information, this decision was made possible through the joint efforts of the National Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic for UNESCO, the International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games, and the Permanent Mission of Kyrgyzstan to UNESCO in Paris.
Receiving patronage from UNESCO signifies international recognition of the World Nomad Games as an important initiative aimed at preserving and promoting traditional sports and games, which are an integral part of intangible cultural heritage.
This opens new prospects for increasing international participation and further promoting Kyrgyzstan's cultural heritage on the global stage, the agency noted.
