In response to the worsening situation in the Middle East, a temporary interagency headquarters has been established in Kyrgyzstan to organize the return of citizens. This was reported by the Umrah department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information provided by the organization, the situation in the Middle East has significantly deteriorated, leading to the suspension of flights for the sacred pilgrimage of Umrah. This has created force majeure circumstances.
In light of the above, the Umrah department of the SAMK has reached out to citizens currently in Mecca and Medina for performing the minor Umrah.
“We ask you to show understanding and patience in the current conditions, to follow the instructions of travel agencies and Umrah group coordinators, to avoid panic, and to hope for the restoration of flights. During this time, we urge you to pray for peace in the world, the unity of the Ummah, and the prosperity of our country,” the statement said.Additionally, those who planned to travel for Umrah are advised to closely monitor the news and postpone their plans until the situation in the region stabilizes.
