A total lunar eclipse will last for 5 hours and 39 minutes — from 14:45 to 20:24 Moscow time. The most interesting part will begin at 17:05 and end at 18:04, with the peak of the eclipse recorded at 17:35 Bishkek time.

Unfortunately, residents of Bishkek will only be able to observe the final phase of this astronomical event.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is positioned between the Moon and the Sun, causing the shadow of our planet to cover the satellite. This phenomenon is only possible during full moons. Astronomers distinguish between penumbral, partial, and total eclipses, with total eclipses being considered the most impressive.

During the total phase of the eclipse, an effect known as the "blood moon" is observed. Although sunlight does not reach the Moon, some rays pass through the Earth's atmosphere. Short waves are scattered, while red waves reach the Moon, coloring it in shades from bright orange to dark brown. The intensity of the color can vary depending on the state of the atmosphere.

Experts claim that a total lunar eclipse has no effect on human health.
