Imamalieva noted that the level of service in most public catering establishments in the city leaves much to be desired. “In the capital, waiters demonstrate high service skills, while in Manas, many workers are not even familiar with the basics of table setting and proper dish presentation. Since 2022, we have started conducting educational programs. For example, in 2025, 10 waiters-bartenders aged 16 to 35 were trained at the Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov. Many of them later found jobs in England, Germany, and Turkey,” she reported.
This year, training for another 15 specialists is planned. Given that the month of Orozo is currently ongoing and many cafes only begin their activities after 5:00 PM, official requests have been sent to establishments suggesting that they send two workers from each establishment to participate in the training.
At present, the number of unemployed in Manas is 514 people, of whom 129 have official unemployment status.
