According to her, this event takes place only once every ten years and covers the entire country. However, the last census was conducted 22 years ago.
The purpose of the census is to collect accurate data on the following parameters:
- the number and structure of agricultural enterprises and farms of all forms of ownership;
- the diversity and volumes of agricultural production;
- the availability of land, labor, and material resources;
- the livestock and poultry population;
- the features of farming practices and the level of mechanization.
“This will provide a complete picture of the development of the agricultural sector in the country. Objective data is necessary for shaping agricultural policy and forecasting investments in this area. We are fully transitioning to an electronic format, abandoning paper carriers. Information will be transmitted to the central server of the National Statistical Committee, which will be protected across all communication channels, ensuring the confidentiality and timeliness of the data,” explained Elmira Alymkulova.
She also reported that 6,791 temporary employees will be involved in conducting the census, including enumerators, registrars, instructors, controllers, and coordinators. They will be paid a salary approved by the government.
