In Bishkek, they want to change the payment system for municipal parking lots and spaces.

The Bishkek City Hall has developed a new draft resolution regarding the regulation of municipal parking lots and spaces in the city. The aim of these changes is to organize parking space, reduce the load on transportation networks, and create more comfortable conditions for the functioning of the urban transportation system.

As part of the project, it is planned to:

approve a new Regulation on municipal parking lots and spaces in Bishkek;
set the parking fees for vehicles;
introduce a separate tariff for parking with an automated time accounting system (hourly payment).

For parking equipped with such a system, the following hourly tariff is proposed:

from 30 to 50 soms for the first two hours;
20 soms for each subsequent hour.

The implementation of the automated system is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, which will help reduce instances of prolonged vehicle stays in high-demand parking areas and create conditions for the phased renewal of parking infrastructure.
