Recently, a meeting was held organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, where measures to ensure the safety of citizens of the country in Saudi Arabia were discussed.

Representatives from various agencies participated in the meeting, including the Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Agency for Religious Affairs, as well as aviation and tourism companies.

During the discussion, Mufti Abdulaziz Zakirov emphasized the importance of considering current world events and the associated threats to Kyrgyz citizens. The main focus was on security measures for those planning to travel to Saudi Arabia, as well as the return of citizens who remained there after the completion of the minor pilgrimage.

As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to temporarily restrict the departure of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for performing Umrah until the situation stabilizes.

Additionally, the participants of the meeting recommended that tourism and aviation companies cease organizing trips for Umrah until the situation improves.

Work has also begun to restore flights through the airlines Jazeera, Flynas, and Air Arabia, which were temporarily suspended due to current events.

It is worth noting that due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, Kyrgyzstan has already started the evacuation of its citizens from the region. Earlier, two special flights were organized, which brought 260 citizens back to Kyrgyzstan.
