
Tourist companies have been recommended to suspend the organization of Umrah trips until the situation improves.
An expanded meeting dedicated to the safety of citizens and the organization of Umrah took place at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Muftiate.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Security Council, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations, the State Agency for Civil Aviation, as well as representatives of airlines and travel agencies.
In his speech, the Supreme Mufti Abduaziz Kary Zakirov drew attention to current world events and potential risks for citizens of Kyrgyzstan. He called for cooperation and mutual support among the participants.
During the discussion, representatives of government structures reported on the measures that have been taken to ensure safety. The importance of the role of airlines and travel companies in this process was emphasized until the situation stabilizes.
Issues concerning the safety of citizens traveling to Saudi Arabia and the return of those who are already there for Umrah were also discussed.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to temporarily restrict the travel of citizens of Kyrgyzstan for Umrah until the situation improves.
Tourist and airline companies have been recommended to suspend the organization of such trips until the situation normalizes.
Additionally, work has begun on restoring delayed flights using convenient routes with the participation of airlines Jazeera Airways, Flynas, Air Arabia, and other carriers.
