Today, the official opening of the honorary consulate of Lithuania took place in the city of Osh, during which a meeting was held between the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region, Amankhan Kenjebayev, and the Consul General of Lithuania, Sharune Kubiliute.
According to the representative office, the participants discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Lithuania, as well as touched upon issues of developing interaction between the regions.
Amankhan Kenjebayev emphasized that the opening of the honorary consulate in Osh is a significant step towards strengthening friendly ties between the two countries. He also congratulated M.A. Orumbaev on his appointment as honorary consul of Lithuania.
The Lithuanian side was informed about investment opportunities in the Osh region, with a particular focus on the potential of the agricultural sector and the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products.
The parties also expressed interest in increasing cooperation in the following areas:
- development of trade and economic relations and attracting investments;
- processing of agricultural products;
- tourism;
- cultural and educational ties.
