The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has announced the completion of the fourth phase of the evacuation of its citizens from the Middle Eastern countries.

According to the agency, on March 14, 142 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were returned home on a special flight from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. Another 24 people returned via Istanbul with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In light of the deteriorating situation in several Middle Eastern countries, where about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were located, President Sadyr Japarov instructed to take all necessary measures for their safety and evacuation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that significant work has been carried out to inform citizens, ensure their safety, and evacuate them from dangerous areas amid ongoing instability in the region.

A total of five special evacuation flights were organized, resulting in the return of 592 citizens from Riyadh, Dubai, as well as from Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Additionally, more than 3,000 Kyrgyz citizens returned independently using regular flights.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges those who are still in the Middle Eastern countries to consider returning home as soon as possible via available routes and to refrain from traveling to this region until the situation stabilizes.

The main transit points for flights to Kyrgyzstan remain Riyadh and Jeddah. From neighboring Gulf countries, it is possible to reach Saudi Arabia by ground transport or regional flights, and then fly to Bishkek using flights from Flydubai, Pegasus Airlines, Flynas, Turkish Airlines, and other airlines.

The ministry also emphasizes that ensuring safety and protecting the rights of citizens remain the top priorities of state policy.
