To prevent further thefts, police officers conducted a special raid in the area.
The main goal of the event was to inform the population about precautionary measures and reduce opportunities for thieves.
During this raid, law enforcement officers visited the homes of rural residents and emphasized the following measures:
- lock barn doors,
- install video cameras in yards,
- identify livestock,
- not leave animals unattended in pastures for extended periods.
Community inspectors also distributed business cards so that local residents could report suspicious activities. Livestock market owners and slaughterhouse operators were reminded of the need to enhance security measures, including the installation of surveillance systems.
As of early 2026, 68 criminal cases have been initiated regarding livestock theft, of which 44 have already been solved. Operational search activities continue for the remaining 24 cases.
