Unusual images on sümölök, prepared by the residents of Pushkin Street in the Panfilov District of the Chui Region, appeared unexpectedly.

Residents of the street reported this.

Pushkin Street is located in the village of Voznesenovka, which is part of the rural district of Orto-Kaiyndy. In honor of the Nowruz holiday, local residents decorated their street with balloons, spending 10,500 soms on it.

“For the Nowruz holiday, we used 13 kilograms of sprouted wheat. Then we ground it through a meat grinder and rinsed it thoroughly three times. After that, we added 25 kg of flour, 5 kg of vegetable oil, and 3 kg of sweets. We placed about 30 small stones at the bottom of the cauldron and cooked it for 12 hours,” said one of the participants in the preparation, Gulnara Saitova.

Ibada Zholoeva, another woman who participated in the process, reported that on March 22, they opened the sümölök that had been cooking all night.

She also shared her impressions of the unusual images that appeared on the surface:

“When we opened the sümölök, we saw a map of Kyrgyzstan on its surface, with our sacred Issyk-Kul in the center, and inscriptions of ‘Allah’ and national ornaments around the edges. We took this as a good sign that strengthened our unity and instilled pride in the sanctity of our lake and national values.”
