Street trading and the poor condition of the market have caused dissatisfaction among city authorities
A personnel decision was made in the Bishkek mayor's office following a meeting dedicated to the Orto-Sai Market.
The city authorities expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the market and the presence of street trading.
As a result, the following individuals were dismissed: Kubandy Akmatbekov, head of the organizational and control department of the mayor's office; Zhanibek Orozaliev, akim of the October District; and Maiymbek Adylbekov, first deputy akim of the district.
In addition, disciplinary measures were taken for insufficient oversight and improper performance of duties:
- reprimands to the deputy mayors Azamat Kadyrov and Ramiz Aliyev;
- warnings to the head of the Municipal Enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure" Asylbek uulu Bakay and the head of the municipal inspection Mirlanbek Talaybekov.
There is also an initiative to review the compliance of the head of the economics and finance department of the October district administration with the position held.
