Current events in the Middle East discussed
At a round table held at the GKNB academy, the operational and strategic situation regarding terrorism and extremism in Kyrgyzstan was examined. This was reported by the press service of the security agency.
Representatives from the Anti-Terrorism Center, the Main Directorate for Combating International Terrorism and Religious Extremism, as well as specialists from the Main Directorates of Intelligence and Counterintelligence and the Legal Support Service, including experts from regional branches of the GKNB, participated in the discussion.
Round table participants discussed mechanisms for the rehabilitation and adaptation of repatriates returning from conflict zones such as Syria and Iraq, as well as their integration into the social life of Kyrgyzstan.
Particular attention was paid to current events in the Middle East and their impact on the religious and socio-political situation in the country.
