According to the results of the study, women working in rural areas spend an average of 6.5 hours a day on household chores, while urban women dedicate about 5 hours to this. The National Statistical Committee provided these figures based on a sample survey of time budgets.

Every day, women spend approximately 4 hours and 40 minutes on household tasks, which accounts for more than 19.4% of the total hours in a day. At the same time, men spend only 3.8% or less than one hour on this. In rural areas, both men and women spend 1.2 times more time on household chores compared to urban residents.
