In Kyrgyzstan, nearly half of the bosses are women: the share has risen to 41.5%, but the pandemic has pushed the figure back.

In 2024, women hold 41.5% of all leadership positions in the country, according to a report by the National Statistics Committee titled "Statistics of Sustainable Development Goals of the Kyrgyz Republic 2015-2024." This figure shows an increase of 1.5 percentage points compared to the previous year, 2023.

If we look at the data since 2015, we can see that the share of women in leadership has increased by 5.4 percentage points. However, compared to 2020, there is a decrease of 5.9 percentage points.
