At "Manas" Airport, there is heavy fog. Several flights are delayed.

Today, January 14, the meteorological conditions at "Manas" airport have complicated the process of receiving and dispatching aircraft. According to information provided by the OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan," visibility on the airfield is only 175 meters, while the minimum required visibility for safe air traffic is 800 meters.

As a result, several flights are delayed, including a flight from Istanbul and flight U62803 from Moscow. Additionally, a plane flying from Sharm El Sheikh has been redirected to Tashkent.

Moreover, the following flights have been postponed: It is worth noting that a modern light signaling system of category III (CAT III) was previously installed at the airport, which, according to specialists, should help minimize delays and cancellations in conditions of poor visibility. "This innovation will significantly enhance the reliability of air traffic and reduce the risks associated with weather conditions," the company added.

The OJSC also emphasized that the final decision regarding the landing of the aircraft is made by the aircraft commander.
