
At the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan held on January 13, a decision was made to include the Handball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic in its membership.
During the meeting, the president of the NOC, Umbetaly Kydyraiev, presented a detailed report on the performance results of the national teams at international arenas in 2025. The report covered significant achievements, the participation of athletes in world and Asian championships, and the preparation process for upcoming major tournaments.
Additionally, the members of the General Assembly discussed the organizational and financial aspects of the NOC's work. In particular, the results of the audit for the reporting period were confirmed, demonstrating transparency and compliance of financial activities with established standards.
The acceptance of the Handball Federation into the NOC of Kyrgyzstan symbolizes the official recognition of this sport at the Olympic level and opens new horizons for its development. This will allow the federation to participate more actively in international initiatives, claim Olympic solidarity, enhance the preparation of national teams, and develop youth handball in the country.
