
During 2025, over 8,000 traffic accidents were recorded in Kyrgyzstan. This information was announced at a meeting organized by the Main Department for Ensuring Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmambetov, Head of the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ulan Biibosunov, as well as the head of the Main Department of Road Safety Azhenbek Kozukeev and other representatives of territorial departments.
The main causes of accidents include exceeding the speed limit, errors during maneuvering, crossing into oncoming traffic, driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol, as well as failing to comply with requirements at intersections and disregarding traffic signs and distances.
