In a study published in the journal "Healthcare of Kyrgyzstan," authors A. Ch. Usupbaev, K. N. Stambekova, and N. A. Abdubaev evaluated the level of fertility in men with urolithiasis and andrological diseases.

According to the data, andrological diseases in Kyrgyzstan occupy a significant place in the overall morbidity, especially among men of reproductive age. However, the impact of these diseases on fertility remains insufficiently studied.

The aim of the study was to assess fertility in men with urolithiasis (UL) after urethroplasty, as well as in patients with purulent-inflammatory diseases of the genital organs and cystic lesions of the epididymis. The researchers aimed to identify key markers indicating deterioration in the results of the spermogram.

To achieve this goal, four clinical groups of men with various urological diseases were formed. Each participant voluntarily underwent an ejaculate analysis within a month after the diagnosis was made. The results were compared with a control group of healthy men living in Kyrgyzstan.

"The results of the study showed that men of reproductive age with various urological diseases have reduced fertility indicators, including the volume of ejaculate, the proportion of normal spermatozoa, as well as their motility, viability, and sperm quality index," the article states.

The authors of the study emphasize that "monitoring the fertility of men with urological and andrological diseases can reduce the risk of infertility and preserve reproductive potential."
