According to the family doctor of CSM No. 1, Aziza Aslanova, the incidence of influenza and ARVI in Kyrgyzstan has increased again. On the air of "Birinchi Radio," the specialist emphasized the necessity of adhering to preventive measures.

Aslanova specified that after the New Year holidays and the onset of cold weather, the number of sick people began to rise. "At times when there are many people in public places, it is better to avoid visiting such places unless absolutely necessary. Viruses spread easily through the air, and one can get infected just by being in the same room with an infected person," she explained.

If visiting public places is unavoidable, the doctor advises wearing a mask, changing it every two to three hours, and thoroughly washing hands afterward. The mask should fit snugly against the face for maximum protection.

Additionally, Aslanova emphasized the importance of teaching children the basics of personal hygiene, such as washing hands after going outside. She also noted that clothing should be appropriate for the weather conditions.

Regular ventilation of rooms, wet cleaning, balanced nutrition, and physical activity play a key role in the prevention of viral diseases, the doctor added.
