At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 21, deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva announced information about the planned demolition of houses on Sheraliyev Street in Bishkek.

In her speech, she noted that more than 100 property owners from the Lenin district had approached her with a collective letter.

According to Sadyrbaeva, the new general plan proposes extending Sheraliyev Street from Akhunbaev to Gagarin, followed by a connection to Termechikova Street, which will lead to the destruction and demolition of more than 100 houses. She emphasized that residents had already contacted the city hall with proposals but had received neither a response nor feedback.

The deputy strongly urged local authorities to provide the necessary information, including the number of houses to be demolished and the estimated costs for this work.

She also added that residents would prefer to have Repin Street widened, leaving Sheraliyev Street unchanged, which would allow them to keep their homes.
