At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh held on January 21, deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva reported on a collective appeal from residents of the Lenin district. Citizens expressed concern about the planned extension of Sheralieva Street from Akhunbaeva Street to Gagarin Street, which could lead to the demolition of their homes. The press service of the city hall provided clarifications regarding this issue within the framework of the new general plan.

“The extension of this section as part of the street and road network was provided for in previously approved general plans developed during the Soviet period and in effect since the 1980s, as well as in the Bishkek general plan designed for 2006-2025. It should be noted that similar sections of the street and road network are also provided for in other districts of the capital,” the city hall stated.

In the development of the new general plan, these planning solutions are retained as long-term prospects for the development of the city's street and road network. At the same time, the city hall noted that there are currently no plans to implement this project in the near future,” the municipal statement added.
