The time to pass through the checkpoint is planned to be reduced to 15 minutes
By the end of 2029, the automobile checkpoint "Bedel" on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China is expected to start operating around the clock. This project is included in the strategy of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.
According to forecasts, after the new operating regime is implemented, the checkpoint will be able to process more than 1,000 trucks per day, and the waiting time at the checkpoint will be reduced to 15 minutes.
It is worth noting that the "Bedel" checkpoint is the third crossing point on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, which began its operations in September 2024. The challenging climatic conditions of the highlands require the creation of additional infrastructure to ensure year-round operation of the checkpoint.
