From January 23 to 25, the Championship of the Kyrgyz Republic in Judo will take place in Osh at the "Gazprom – Children" sports and health complex.
The tournament will feature the best judokas in the country, who will compete not only for medals but also for spots on the national team. Women will compete in weight categories up to 48, 52, 57, 63, 70, 78 kg and over 78 kg, while men will fight for awards in categories up to 60, 66, 73, 81, 90, 100 kg and over 100 kg.
The main goal of the championship is to form the roster of the national judo team of Kyrgyzstan for 2026. Additionally, this championship will serve as an important stage for selecting promising athletes for the reserve team and will contribute to strengthening unity among youth, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and improving the skill level of the participants.
The organization of the championship is carried out with the support of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Directorate for Olympic Sports, and the Judo Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
