The sectoral education committees, based on their work in 2024-2025, have managed to significantly optimize their expenses, which became possible after the liquidation of regional committees. This was reported by the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Jumadilde uulu, at a press conference at the Kabar agency.
He noted that currently one percent of the salaries of trade union members goes to membership fees. Of this amount, about 70% remains in the primary organizations, while 30% is transferred to the sectoral committee. Thanks to these funds, the sectoral education committee has, for the first time in the last 35 years, begun the construction of health facilities for its members. Approximately 55 million soms have been allocated for these purposes, fully formed from membership fees.
In addition, in 2025, the sectoral health committee will launch a project to build a health facility accommodating 40 people. The budget for this project is 17 million soms.
“Although this amount may seem small, it is important to note that in 2025, the sectoral health committee was able to collect about 22 million soms thanks to 30% from membership fees. In 2026, after the abolition of regional committees and the elimination of unnecessary links, we expect to receive about 40 million soms. These funds will go towards the construction of new facilities,” he added.
Muradil Jumadilde uulu also spoke about the digitalization being implemented in the country. All trade union members can now seek assistance online via the short number 2029.
“We face two important tasks: a complete inventory of trade union members and digitalization, as well as the organization of issues related to property,” he emphasized.
