
According to the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, there has been a significant increase in the flow of foreign citizens into the country in 2025.
The number of entries into Kyrgyzstan this year has increased by 18.6% compared to the previous year, 2024, and by 20% compared to 2023.
The agency noted that this growth indicates an increasing interest in the Kyrgyz Republic as a tourist destination and a place for business trips.
The total number of foreign citizens who visited Kyrgyzstan was:
- 2023 — 17,480,097 people;
- 2024 — 17,682,929 people (an increase of 1.2%);
- 2025 — 20,978,965 people (+18.6% compared to 2024).
- 18,574,022 people entered the country;
- 18,476,201 people left its borders.
At the same time, the Border Service of the State National Security Committee ensured strict control over compliance with migration and border legislation. In 2025, 28,593 people with invalid documents were identified, and 28,006 of them were denied entry across the border. Furthermore, 2,031 citizens were deported for violating stay regulations.
"The increase in the number of foreign citizens confirms the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan's position as an open, safe, and attractive country for tourists and business, as well as its growing significance in regional and international processes," the statement noted.
