According to Zhankoylieva, O. Sh. did not have any documents, which led to confusion with his surname when processing paperwork. However, later, when information about the incident appeared online, his relatives from Talas found him. They had been unable to locate him for seven years and even thought he was already dead, praying for him. Happy to have found him, they took his body for burial in his homeland.
As for the second deceased, V. D., he had been in the nursing home since June 2019. Previously, he lived with a resident of the Tepke village in the Ak-Suu district, who, after suffering strokes, decided to place him in the institution.
To find V. D.'s relatives, the staff of the institution contacted S., who had previously visited him. S. reported that he had moved to Kazakhstan with his children and would not be able to assist with the search. Information about V. D.'s brother was passed on to law enforcement, and V. D. was buried at the "Grozdy" cemetery.
Deputy Elizaveta Alymbaeva expressed gratitude to the staff of the social institution for their care of the residents and respect for their religious traditions in organizing the funerals.
