According to the ministry's press service, the latest equipment has allowed for the retrieval of an old boat from water bodies that had been at the bottom for about 30 years over the past three years. It is reported that this vessel was used by poachers as an unauthorized "mine".
Currently, the boat is located in a specially designated area for this purpose. There, illegally manufactured synthetic nets that have been discovered over the last three to four months of 2025 are also being accumulated. Previously, such boats were removed from the water and handed over to the Ministry of Natural Resources, but now it has been decided to store them in one place for preventive measures.
The ministry emphasizes that synthetic structures and waste cause serious harm to the environment by polluting water bodies. Over the past 10-30 years, the amount of such debris in the waters has significantly increased, posing a threat to the ecosystem.
According to the press service, this issue is under the control of the country's leadership, and appropriate measures are being taken at the direction of the president.
