In the territory of Kyrgyzstan, in Suzak, illegal privatization of an important state agricultural facility has been recorded, reports the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR).
The plot, which was allocated to the Suzak inter-farm association "Plodorodie" in 1978 for aviation services to agricultural lands, is crucial for ensuring food security and developing the agro-sector. However, during reforms and the liquidation of agricultural enterprises, this airfield was transferred to private ownership using corrupt schemes.
In particular, in 2003, M.Zh., the head of the Bagysh rural administration, abused his official powers and, to the detriment of state interests, made an illegal decision to transfer the plot to his relative M.S.
After conducting a series of investigative and operational activities, the 12.8-hectare plot has been returned to municipal ownership.
Currently, the GKNB KR is conducting a comprehensive review of the legality of all lands that previously belonged to agricultural chemical enterprises, and based on the results of this review, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
