The Ministry of Justice has prepared a new draft law aimed at regulating real estate activities and protecting citizens from unscrupulous intermediaries.
According to representatives of the agency, the project is aimed at combating fraud in the real estate sector, hidden commissions, manipulations, and fake advertisements. These issues pose significant risks for consumers and are associated with aggressive and opaque practices in the market.
The draft law is part of a broader initiative to reduce bureaucracy and aims to systematize the work of realtors, making it more transparent and professional.
The main provisions of the draft law include:
- mandatory certification of realtors in accordance with established standards;
- introduction of an identification card for realtors to verify their legitimacy;
- development of unified standards for real estate services and standard contracts;
- ensuring transparency of information about the status and powers of the realtor;
- prohibition of double commissions and restriction of misleading advertising;
- establishment of liability for illegal real estate activities.
The adoption of this document is expected to be a step towards improving the situation in the real estate market, increasing citizens' trust, and creating civilized conditions for honest participants.
