A meeting dedicated to the issues of debureaucratization of the state governance system was held by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Kasymaliev highlighted the key aspects of the work within the framework of debureaucratization, emphasizing the need to provide citizens with quality, accessible, and timely services, as well as to improve conditions for doing business.

“By 2025, significant progress has already been made in this area. The debureaucratization process occurs in several stages. The first stage focused on central government bodies, while the second stage will cover the regions. We are initiating a reform aimed at increasing the effectiveness of local governance, reducing bureaucracy, and, above all, creating more favorable conditions for business in the regions. If excessive requirements and procedures persist at the district and city levels, it slows down the decision-making process, and therefore, the reforms implemented at the central level may not yield the expected results,” he emphasized.

According to the chairman, each akim and local leader will bear personal responsibility for the quality of their duties. Local authorities have been tasked with eliminating duplicative functions, shortening decision-making timelines, and promptly addressing issues at the local level, as well as removing bureaucratic barriers for businesses in the regions.

The pilot project will involve:

- 2 cities — Tokmok and Naryn;

- 3 districts — Nookat, Batken, and Tyup;

- 2 regions — Jalal-Abad and Talas.

During the meeting, reports on the current progress of debureaucratization activities were heard. Following the meeting, relevant recommendations were given to the heads of state and local authorities.
