The 'Peace Council' is not a replacement for the UN - Marco Rubio
The U.S. Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio stated that the "Peace Council," initiated by Donald Trump, is not intended to replace the UN. He made this statement during hearings in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Rubio emphasized that the UN has done "very little" regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, aside from providing humanitarian aid.

It is worth noting that on January 22, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the charter of the "Peace Council" was signed by representatives of 19 countries. This organization was created to facilitate a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Donald Trump also mentioned that other countries have joined the project. The "Peace Council" is established in accordance with an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas and will be responsible not only for managing the Gaza Strip but also for preventing conflicts in other regions.
