In response to a question about the possible consequences for NATO if he decides to pay for Greenland, Trump noted: "No one has done more for NATO than I have, in every way." He added that NATO would be satisfied, and this is necessary for global security. However, he also expressed doubts that the alliance would support the U.S. if needed: "I doubt they will come to our aid," he said.

Trump plans to arrive in Davos on Wednesday, where, according to him, "many meetings on Greenland" are scheduled. During his press conference, he also mentioned that "everything will be quite good in Greenland."

Meanwhile, at the World Economic Forum, French President Emmanuel Macron warned against a "shift to a lawless world," while Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that "the old order will not return."

When asked about possible military intervention to seize Greenland, Trump declined to comment, saying: "No comment."

Greenland's Minister of Industry and Natural Resources, Naaja Nathanielsen, in an interview with BBC Newsnight, noted that the local population is "puzzled" by Trump's demands. "We do not want to be Americans, and we have made that clear," she added, questioning the value of their culture and their right to determine their future.

During her speech at the forum in Davos, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that Europe is fully committed to ensuring security in the Arctic, adding that this is only possible through joint efforts. She characterized the additional tariffs proposed by Trump as a "mistake."

Trump also announced a 10% tariff on all goods from eight European countries if they oppose his plans for Greenland. Von der Leyen emphasized that the European Union expresses "full solidarity" with Greenland and Denmark, noting that their sovereignty "is not up for discussion."

Canadian representative Mark Carney confirmed Canada's unwavering commitment to NATO Article 5, adding that the country fully supports Greenland and Denmark in their right to determine their future.

In response to Trump's recent threats of a 200% tariff on French wine and champagne, Macron condemned the "endless increase of new tariffs" as "fundamentally unacceptable," especially when used as a tool to pressure territorial sovereignty.

Macron is also urging the EU to consider retaliatory measures against American tariffs, including a new tool to counter coercion known as the "trade bazooka." Sources in the international trade committee report that the European Parliament is considering suspending the approval of a trade agreement with the U.S., which would be another step in escalating tensions between the countries.

When asked about his relationships with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump replied that he has not communicated with them since his recent social media posts, adding that he believes "they always treat me well." According to him, "when I am around, they treat me very kindly."
