Askhat Alagozov clarified the president's comment

The press secretary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Askhat Alagozov, clarified the misunderstandings that arose after President Sadyr Japarov's comment. According to him, the president, stating that "this decision was made in the interests of the state to prevent public division and strengthen unity," did not mean Kamchybek Kydyrshaevich.

Alagozov specified that the reference was to figures such as Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Emilbek Uzakbaev, who, using the name of Kamchybek Tashiev, appealed to various people—from deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh to representatives of the public—with calls to "switch to the side of the general," pushing for the signing of various documents and actions that created tension in society, including among officials.

Due to the fact that his previous comment regarding the removal of Kamchybek Tashiev from office was distorted or misinterpreted by some people, Alagozov deemed it necessary to clarify.

It is worth noting that today it became known that President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). Additionally, three of his deputies were also relieved of their positions.

The acting chairman of the committee has been appointed Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, whose candidacy will be submitted for approval to the Jogorku Kenesh.
