In the podcast hosted by journalist Ernis Kyazov, Syimyk Zhapikeev stated that after the October events, he received $10,000 from President Sadyr Japarov as assistance.

Kyazov also asked about rumors that Zhapikeev allegedly received $500,000, the title of general, and then retired. In response, Zhapikeev noted that the discussed amount of $5 million is just a rumor.

He added that he needed $30,000, but Japarov was unable to help him with that amount. Nevertheless, he confirmed that he received $10,000 from the president as a grant. At the time of the conversation, Japarov was either acting as president or had already been elected to the position, but Zhapikeev did not specify exact dates.

Zhapikeev recounted: "People were shouting 'Sadyr, Sadyr, Sadyr!' I told him that I supported him, although I could have chosen not to support him; there were other options. Then I asked for support, and he gave me $10,000. He promised to help me with a job each time, but in the end, he did not offer me a position. I reached out to the Military Prosecutor's Office and other agencies, but he replied that I wouldn't manage. How could I not manage when others did? In the end, I lost the desire to ask him for help. And regarding those $5 million... So many people believe in this, as if someone saw me receive them. It's all just speculation. I am an honest person; I ask for nothing," he stated.

Additionally, Zhapikeev answered a question about his pension. When asked if the title of general grants the right to a high pension, he stated that he does not receive a pension.

"To receive a pension, you need to work for 20 years. I worked for 18 years and 2 months, so I am short by 10 months," he added, emphasizing that he has no advantages from the status of a general.
