“Every appointment requires serious scrutiny. I have set similar tasks for both Kamchybek Tashiev and other heads of ministries and departments, as well as for the Prime Minister and governors. The goal is to propose qualified and professional personnel capable of working for the benefit of the state. I continue to adhere to these principles today. All proposals are made based on these criteria,” he noted.
Additionally, Japarov was reminded of the rumors that had previously circulated in society. It was said that there was some agreement between him and Kamchybek Tashiev regarding the elections: “One term — him, another term — his close friend.”
The President emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a democratic state.
“The people decide who will govern the country, not a small group of people. According to the Constitution, every citizen has the right to participate in elections, and the president is the one whom the people trust, who has a higher rating among the population,” he added.
In Japarov's opinion, such talks about “one term — this, another term — that” contradict democratic values and political culture. He noted that such opinions are perceived as an attempt to limit the people's right to elections.
