It is worth reminding that earlier, 75 individuals appealed to Sadyr Japarov, urging him to organize early presidential elections. According to law enforcement agencies, some of the statements in this appeal caused significant public resonance and "aggravated the socio-political situation in the country." In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On February 11, 75 signatories of the appeal to the president were summoned to the investigative body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Five of them were detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center. The investigation is ongoing.
