On February 12 of this year, the investigating judge of the Pervomaisky District Court reviewed the application from the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the detention of the accused in connection with the "Mass Riots," as stated in the country's Criminal Code.
The court granted the petition and ordered the detention of the specified individuals until April 10, 2025.
It is worth noting that 75 people appealed to Japarov with a request to hold early presidential elections. Law enforcement agencies believe that some of the statements in the appeal led to significant public resonance and exacerbated the political situation in the country. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of Article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. On February 11, the 75 signatories of the appeal were summoned for questioning by the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to provide testimony.
