Public figure Bekbolot Talgarebekov has been detained and taken for questioning at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This information was confirmed by his son, Arstan Talgarebekov.
According to Arstan, early in the morning, law enforcement officers conducted a search of his father's apartment located in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek. After the investigative activities were completed, Talgarebekov was taken to the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.
It is important to note that he was accompanied by three officers, while others remained in the apartment to continue the investigative actions.
Additionally, the son of the detained individual reported that law enforcement is summoning all 75 signatories of the collective appeal, which contains a request for early presidential elections, for questioning. He noted that in this document, in the opinion of the signatories, there are no illegal calls, and his father continues to support the policies of President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Previously, Talgarebekov was one of those who initiated this appeal, which calls for the urgent consideration of the issue of new presidential elections. The document was signed by 75 individuals, including scholars, former prime ministers, former deputies, and public figures.
Meanwhile, some media outlets reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has denied these claims.
